It´s not What You Say, it´s How You Say

Have you stopped a few minutes to think about what do you choose for reading? And who?


When we read, we have affective responses, we can feel emotions and visualize images and histories from a novel, from a newspaper, a haiku or even with a chat conversation using social media as we do actually.

And these words make us feel empathy, learn and behave when we assimilate at the end its literariness, its words, making a good reflection if it´s a good one.

That´s why is important which books or words we choose to read so they enrich our life instead to achieve a poorly wisdom or knowledge.

Literature can give standards and pass on deep knowledge, if has a good narrative and language, a rich vocabulary and description for achieving empathy and understanding with Others and with Yourself.

So, when you read ask yourself how are you feeling? If it´s not good for you…change of book or conversation matter¡

Our minds don´t make difference between what´s real and what´s imagination for future situations that´s why when reading we enjoy of two different feelings:

  1. Narrative Feelings: Are the affective states directed toward characters and events and include identification, empathy and sympathy.  Feeling yourself inside the scene,    that´s why the importance of Personal Factors.
  2. Aesthetic Feelings: Are directed toward the formal features of the text, and include appreciating the beauty of the form, getting yourself focused on the writing style.

Both kind of feelings reinforce one another in a process of oscillation. And are moderately to strongly correlated.

These interrelations depend on the influence of personal factors as personal experience or trait empathy, generating as a result to get identified with characters.

Literature can train, and exercise our ability to weep for those who are not us or ours. Your imagination will take you through this path, walking a mile in a stranger´s shoes.

Making us think about how to relate to others, to ethical issues, and how to live in general, being easier to experience your real life if happens something similar to you because your mind has imagined before while reading.

Imaginery has an important role too. Our minds don´t make difference between what´s real and what´s imagination when future real situations present in front of us.

  • Using the metaphor, your own imaginery and life experiences will be the characters of the narrative because of the analogic language on it. Working directly your right part of the brain. Helping to connect feeling, experience and a better understanding of yourself.
  • Using a text really detailed and with a good description and vocabulary, giving you all the information, as per example Under the Tuscan Sun by Frances Mayes, your imaginery it´s going to be guided seeing it yourself out of the scene as if you were watching a movie.

Then, What have to accomplish a good book or conversation so we can learn and have emphatic and reflective reactions?

What is in a text that makes us understand ourselves or others better?

What bring to the text or to our talking, our personal experiences and our general disposition to empathize?

Following Miall and Kuiken studies, it´s the following:

  • Using more semantic and phonetic foregrounding were perceived as more striking and evoked more affect.
  • A grammatical foregrounding seemed to have a little effect.


Now an interesting exercise you can do:

Write on a paper the first eight words come out from your mind and while you are read one by one …

How do you feel with each one?

Now… with who are you going to talk or… who…, what…, are you going to read?

Art & Leadership


The only thing we hear is about decreasing the budget for investing in a low quality education. Every year there are less resources, less teachers and less capability for teaching.

Results about this decreasing is that parents have to give and take material for kid ´s handcrafts and see pityfull activities with poor results and development on kids. Having to spend their time teaching them after school.

The Quality Education is really in a low level, limited and inflexible. Kids are not going to develope their capabilities and skills in such environment and it´s imposible to learn and develope their potential.

The goal on education is to reach their mature adult age knowing their own Self-responsability and their own behaviour within them and with others.  

I write about two failed subjects in schools and very important ones, so through them, kids will generate an evolution through their own meta-cognition. These two subjects are Art and Leadership.

What´s Art?

Everybody has its own Art, Art reflects our own unconscious, through images, feelings, emotional states…

All this information evoque in us visualizations and feelings that our mind make conscious producing a reflection per example in paintings, dance, photography, music….

Through results obtained with these Art Expressions, on a picture, on a score, with a choreography, or on a canvas, with practice, persons get to know about them or others, improving and developing new skills.

If we talk about therapy through Art, we have a great resource for facing conflicts, so, can be possible to confront them, understand and look for a creative solution and healing.

Per example, is not the same the expression and feelings we have on the famous Picasso painting “Guernica”,on  a picture of Sirya bombing or a Monet painting with a modernist view of flowers floating on a lake.

People reflecting that has different perspectives and cognitive processes.

The unconciuos information reflected help to achieve a better knowing of Ourselves.


That´s the sense of Art,everybody has his/her own Art and Expression way receiving the right tools.

Kids have different developed senses to get information and express information. Ones are more visual and auditive, other more kinestesic and visual, each kid has its own cognitive sense of learning and communicate.

That´s why they can develope that in different ways on a canvas.

Kids doesn´t learn with the same methodology. 

That´s why so many adults have no culture about a free expression and a reinforced personality. They behave weakly with a totally fault of Self-Volunteering and Self-Awareness. They have learned about what it´s good, what´s not, by imposition, loosing their originality and identity. Building walls to creativity , freedom and connection to their OwnSelf, so it gets reflected in their Art and creations too.

Our minds through  Art, reflect the unconscious, being the path to make it conscious for you and be aware of what to improve and develope for a better creation.   

Mind reflects all our personal information, what we think, what we believe, what we visualize, reflecting Atitudes, Beliefs, Behaviours and Feelings on a painting.

Every child has an Art genius to develope and become a free and artistic Adult.

What kind of future we yearn to have and create? 







Los sueños en busca de la Creatividad

Hay  muchas técnicas para conseguir el recurso de la Creatividad, miles de ejercicios que hablan de desarrollar la parte derecha de nuestro cerebro, técnicas y métodos, que utilizaban y utilizan grandes personajes,  y con ellos así,  aumentar nuestra habilidad para ser un artista, obtener el recurso de crear, inventar, soluciones, estrategias; pero os habéis parado a pensar

¿ cómo hacerlo mientras dormís?

Si entras en estado de relajación y utilizas la hipnosis, para enseñar a tu mente a soñar, en positivo, en busca de opciones creativas, conseguirás tener la creatividad para conseguir lo que desees, el recurso y la habilidad tu mente, ya la posee.  Sólo debes desarrollarla y a través de los sueños, puedes perfeccionar lo que ya conoces muy bien o lo que acabas de aprender. Conseguirás una transformación creativa en ti de algo que ya dominas.

Tu mente creativa, analógica, nadie la puede detener, ni prohibir, ni manipular, y tu inconsciente abarca mucho más  de lo que imaginas, tu mente puede soñar para que tu inconsciente pueda ver, llegar, crear, alcanzar la meta dónde tu mente consciente no sabe cómo y darte así una respuesta, darte las soluciones a un determinado problema.

Existe la opción de relajarte, y enseñar  a tu mente inconsciente, mediante los sueños, hipnóticos,  a que  te enseñe,  las miles de opciones que hay, las diferentes maneras con las que puedes construir los puentes y caminos para llegar a dónde quieres estar en un futuro, sólo tienes que relajarte y observar lo que tu mente te enseña y quiere que veas y hacérselo saber, de este modo,  a tu mente consciente.

Puedes entrenar  tu mente a soñar y despertarte, dar las gracias por la información y volver a pedirle a que te explique el significado de tu sueño mediante otro sueño, y otro, y otro y así hasta conseguir que aparezca  la  información.  Es un ejercicio de hipnosis,  con el que hacer posible la habilidad de recurrir a la creatividad a través de tus sueños, puedes elegir lo que soñar, y utilizar la hipnosis, cómo Milton Erickson, hizo en su día.

Ahora ya lo sabes,  en tu mano está, el soñar y el crear.

Hoy vamos a hablar de las cualidades de un Líder, todas las personas en alguna ocasión hemos ejercido de líderes, hemos guiado a un grupo según lo que para nosotros era correcto, hemos sido el ejemplo y les hemos infundido la motivación y el valor para llevar a cabo una idea, un proyecto, ya fuese en la infancia jugando o cómo adultos ejerciendo nuestra profesión, o disfrutando en grupo de un hobby o actividad, en muchos ámbitos y ocasiones cualquier persona ha desarrollado el papel de líder.

Esta vez describiré las cualidades de un liderazgo mal entendido, a pesar de que mi vertiente es la positiva; empezaremos la semana resaltando las cualidades negativas, dado que la mente sólo reconoce y entiende  las experiencias que hemos vivido, seguro que hay muchas personas reconocerán este tipo de liderazgo mal desarrollado.

Estas personas suelen confundir el liderazgo y el poder de su influencia con autoritarismo, una de las principales causas de este autoritarismo es  la falta de seguridad en sí mismo. Su propia inseguridad le hace ver conspiradores dónde sólo hay discrepancias, a un colaborador en un competidor eficaz. Todo ello produce un efecto corrosivo en las relaciones de su entorno, un efecto que se detecta por las siguientes características:

  1. Crea barreras en la relación. Establece más barreras de las necesarias, suele verse en el filtraje de llamadas.
  2. Trata a las personas cómo instrumentos. Se convierten en propiedades u objetos a utilizar a su voluntad.
  3. No experimenta la necesidad de someterse a ningún control. Siendo el director, jefe o persona responsable nunca se equivoca ni comete errores.
  4. Es elitista y snob. Habla de igual a igual a quien considera de su rango.
  5. Utiliza un lenguaje tópico y vacío. No abordan un tema a fondo y dan rodeos sin contestar.
  6. Elimina cualquier tipo de oposición. No tolera las discrepancias, con lo cual, se rodea de gente mediocre,  aduladora y que no discuta sus decisiones,  por su temor también a que le puedan quitar su puesto.
  7. Practica la hipocresía y la falsa humildad. Cambios repentinos de opinión.
  8. Es excesivamente normativo. Insiste en aumentar normas y cada vez con más complejidad. Magnifican los riesgos de los cambios.
  9. Tiene tendencia  a  dicotomizar. Es extremista, o todo es bueno o todo es malo, o todo es verdad o todo es mentira.
  10. Usa el trabajo cómo tapadera de la falta de diálogo. Siempre está muy ocupado y tiene algo más importante que hacer, se sumerge en el trabajo para evitar tomar decisiones.
  11. Oculta sus sentimientos. Esconde sus aspectos dulces cómo si fuesen debilidades, esconde la posibilidad de atravesar por una situación difícil

Vista la lista, cabe resaltar que ser un buen líder no es fácil,  el líder que tenga algunas o peor aún,  todas estas actitudes, mejor releve a otra persona en su puesto o solicite unas información acerca de nuestros programas de Business Coaching, para estos casos en concreto, es necesario un proceso de un año mínimo si el cliente pone de su parte y gracias a las técnicas de PNL y Coaching Ontológico.

Y de nuevo volviendo a Ser yo misma, y retomando mi escritura positiva, me gustaría recalcar la vertiente positiva del liderazgo para finalizar.

La política de un buen líder es el de rodearse de un equipo competente, especializado y experto, capaz de asesorar y en quien poder delegar, y hoy en día, dada la importancia del uso de Internet,  estas características se pueden extrapolar a las redes sociales y a la adquisición de contactos.
